My Story

Believe it or not, I was not always interested in massage and bodywork therapy. My love for it started when I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis back in 2020. Before that, I had experienced massages sporadically, but I had no idea how healing and restorative massage and therapy could be until I found myself struggling to walk everyday from the pain I was experiencing in both my feet. I tried cortisone shots to no avail and was very close to demanding surgery. On a whim, I decided to try massage therapy because nothing else I was trying helped. That is when my love with massage began. I started going weekly for 30 minute session just focusing on my calves and feet. After a few sessions, I realized I could walk and stand without pain for longer periods of time. Several sessions in, my pain went away completely. I could finally walk around barefoot again!! I was amazed! I had no idea massage could be so healing and beneficial! It was at that time I started my journey towards massage therapy. I researched massage therapy programs in my area and found that ACC had a night program, which fit my schedule perfectly. The rest is history!

Along my journey, I have heard so many success stories of clients avoiding surgery or experiencing less pain or being completely pain free because they started receiving regular massage. One of my main missions as a therapist is to share with others the healing abilities of massage therapy and break the stigma that massage is just a luxury because it is so much more!
